Itinerary
Day 1
Snowmobile adventure
- 9 am Meet your driver at Petrozavodsk railway station
- Transfer to Karjala Park Hotel
- It is a perfect place to escape from dull Moscow winters and the hustle and bustle of city life. Staying in Scandinavian-style chalets on the bank of the Chuya river, take your time to enjoy peaceful walks through the pine forest.
- Free time for breakfast
- Experience a 4-hour snowmobile trip (70 km ride)
- The tour starts with a safety briefing. You'll select the necessary equipment and spend time practicing.
- Accompanied by your guide, you'll ride through the enchanting winter forest and stop to see frozen rivers and lakes. You'll have a hearty meal with hot tea by the fire.
- Upon arrival, you'll have free time to enjoy the tranquility of the Karelian forest, experience Russian banya, or book a masterclass for your children.
Day 2
Husky tour and Kinerma village
- After breakfast, join the kennel tour and meet the guest house's friendliest and the fluffiest inhabitants.
- After visiting the kennels, you'll proceed with a 3 km ride through the forest. Your guide will give you all the instructions and teach the primary language of interactions with dogs. You'll have an option of either being a passenger or practice a new skill of mushing.
- In the afternoon you'll visit a unique Kinerma village. This authentic village is an excellent spot to see how Karelians lived hundreds of years ago. During your visit, you'll meet the local museum's friendly owner, learn about the village's everyday life, try national dishes and learn how to cook traditional Karelian cuisine.
- You'll take a transfer back to Petrozavodsk to catch your overnight train to Moscow in the evening.
