The Communist tour of Moscow focuses on Soviet history and culture. Over four days, you will learn about the Revolution 1917 and the Soviet repressive system, Russian perspective on  World War II, and the space achievements.

What was the system of education and medical care? Moscow arrival
  • Upon arrival to Moscow, you will be met by  the driver who will be holding a sign “Bridge to Russia”.

From the tsars to the Revolution
  • Meet your guide in the hotel lobby.
  • Go inside Lenin mausoleum to see the leader of the proletariat movement and explore the necropolis with tombstones of other Soviet dignitaries.
  • Take a walk around Red Square to marvel at St. Basil's cathedral, enjoy the architectural beauty  of GUM department store, which became especially famous in Soviet era, stroll through Aleksander’s gardens to see the Tomb of Unknown Soldier and see the change of Guards.
  • Proceed to the Kremlin grounds, the residence of Russian tsars, the Soviet leaders and now the President of Russia.Explore its medieval architecture, visit the most significant cathedrals, see the biggest canon and the biggest bell in the world. Finish the tour in the city center.

3
Dark side of the Soviet regime
  • Meet your guide in the hotel lobby
  • Walk to Lubyanka Square, where the KGB building is located and talk about the time of Great Purges. On the way  discuss the  changes that Revolution brought to ordinary people's lives and learn what Bolsheviks did to maintain their power. We'll see the KGB building and talk about the time of the Great Purge.
  • Our next stop will be at Christ the Savior Cathedral. What happened to the church after the Revolution? Did you know that Stalin's background was in theology? We'll visit the church and talk about the Russians' religious life during the Soviet years and now.
  • Are you curious to learn about the life of the Soviet elite? We'll visit a unique apartment-museum inside House on the Embankment. In the 1930s, this House was the second most prestigious place to live after the Kremlin.
  • After a coffee break in a Soviet cafeteria, we'll take a walk to see the Muzeon park of sculptures, which has an impressive collection of Soviet-era statues.
  • Finish the tour at Gorky park

World War II in Russia
  • Meet your guide in the hotel lobby.
  • Take a tour of the Moscow metro and admire its palatial interiors. We'll visit at least five most beautiful stations and learn how to navigate the most beautiful subway in the world.
  • Explore the memorial complex in Victory Park, which commemorates the bravery of the Soviet people.
  • Take a look at the open-air exhibition, presenting more than 350 models of weapons and engineering structures from both sides of the conflict.
  • Visit the Museum of the Great Patriotic War to learn the war's history from the Russian perspective.
  • Finish the tour in Victory Park.

The USSR in space
  • Meet your guide in the hotel lobby.
  • Take a tour of the Memorial Museum of Space Exploration. Among the museum collection highlights are the original descent module of the Soyuz spacecraft, several original spacesuits, a full-size mock-up of the Mir orbital station, and many more.
  • We’ll proceed to explore the magnificent VDNKh park nearby, which features more than 250 Soviet-era pavilions, impressive fountains, a Vostok rocket, and a Soviet aircraft. Reveal the nature of the Soviet utopia listening to the history of the agricultural exhibition.
  • Get back to the city center by metro
